1. Getting Started

Installation

Run TrackManagement-Setup.exe and follow the installer. The application will be installed to C:\Program Files\FruityAlfred Software\Track Management.

First Launch & Activation

On first launch, the Activate License dialog appears. Enter your Purchase Email and License Key (received via email after purchase). An internet connection is required for the first activation.

Once activated, the license is stored locally. No internet connection is needed for subsequent launches.

Importing Tracks

Go to Menu → Import Tracks to DB and select a folder containing your audio files. Track Management will scan the folder, import all supported audio files, and perform an initial analysis (BPM, Key, Beat Strength, etc.).

Supported formats: WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, AIFF and more. Any format supported by FFmpeg can be imported.

2. Track Database

The main window shows your track database in a sortable table. Click any column header to sort. The following columns are available:

ColumnDescription
NameTrack filename
PathFull file path
BPMDetected tempo (beats per minute)
KeyDetected musical key
LengthTrack duration
StemsStem separation status buttons (D/B/O/V)
VolVolume fader per track
Additional analysis columns (Energy, Spectral, Groove, etc.) can be enabled via Settings → Column Visibility.

Marking Tracks & DJ Set Preparation

Click the row number (leftmost column) to mark a track. Marked tracks are highlighted and a display at the bottom shows all currently marked tracks. You can mark tracks from different folders across your entire library. Click the row number again to unmark.

Once you have your selection ready, right-click and choose Export Marked Track(s). All marked tracks will be copied to a folder of your choice, along with a Tracklist.txt file containing all track names.

This is perfect for building DJ sets: browse your library, filter by BPM or Key, mark the tracks you want to play, then export them all into one folder — ready for your USB stick or DJ software.

Other actions available for marked tracks:

Searching & Filtering

Use the BPM range fields (Min/Max) at the top to filter by tempo. Click Run Query to apply. Use Reset Table View to clear all filters.

Advanced Filters

Menu → Advanced Track Filters opens a dialog where you can filter by BPM range, duration range, musical key, track name (with wildcards * and ?), and file path.

Favorites

Right-click a track and select Add to Favorites. View your favorites via Menu → Show Favorites.

Duplicate Detection

Click Search for Duplicates to find identical files (based on file hash). Duplicates can be deleted from the context menu.

Sync Folders

Menu → Sync Known Folders re-scans all previously imported folders for new, moved, or deleted files.

3. Playback & Looping

Click any track in the table to start playback. Use the controls at the bottom:

ButtonAction
StopStop playback completely
PausePause / Resume
<< -10sJump back 10 seconds
+10s >>Jump forward 10 seconds
LoopToggle loop mode
Export LoopSave the current loop section as WAV

Loop Mode

When Loop is active, the currently playing section repeats continuously. Adjust the loop length with the Loop Length Slider (0.5 to 20 seconds). Fine-tune the loop start position with the -/+ buttons (±0.5s per click).

4. Stem Separation & Mixer

What is Stem Separation?

Stem separation splits any track into 4 individual components using AI:

Separating Stems

In the track table, click the D, B, O, V buttons in the Stems column. The first click triggers the separation. Once done, the buttons turn active and you can toggle individual stems on/off.

An NVIDIA GPU with CUDA support is recommended for stem separation. Without a GPU, stems are separated on the CPU which is significantly slower. All other features work at full speed without a GPU.

Stems Editor (Mixer)

Click the Stems Editor button to open the full mixer window. Features:

Good to know:

Project Save & Load

Organize Stems

Menu → Organize Stems opens a project manager to browse, load, or delete saved stem projects. The info button shows project details (tracks, stems, volumes, plugins).

Track & Stem Removal

Undo Stretch

After BPM matching, click Undo Stretch to restore the original tempo.

Stem Export

The export engine processes audio block-by-block, identical to live playback. Dedicated offline VST3 plugin instances are used for artifact-free export. Stems without effects are exported directly from RAM (instant).

EQ Controls

Click the EQ button on any stem to open the 5-band equalizer:

BandTypeParameters
High-PassFilterFrequency, Q
LowShelf/PeakFrequency, Q, Gain
MidPeakFrequency, Q, Gain
HighShelf/PeakFrequency, Q, Gain
Low-PassFilterFrequency, Q

5. Loop Finder

The Loop Finder is a proprietary DSP algorithm that finds the best loopable sections in any track. No AI, no cloud — pure signal analysis.

How to Use

  1. Right-click a track and select Analyze Loops...
  2. Configure analysis parameters:
  3. Click Analyze and wait for results
  4. Browse loops in the Loop Browser

Loop Scoring

Each loop candidate is rated by 8 sub-scores:

ScoreWhat it measures
SequenceRepetition quality of the audio pattern
PitchTonal consistency across the loop
TimbreTimbral similarity at loop boundaries
TextureSpectral texture continuity
OnsetRhythmic event alignment
EnergyEnergy level consistency
SeamSmoothness of the loop join point
LengthPreference for musically useful lengths

Loop Browser

The Loop Browser shows all detected loops with their scores. Features:

6. VST3 Mastering

Track Management can host real VST3 plugins with full GUI at three levels:

  1. Per-Stem — Apply effects to individual stems in the Stems Editor
  2. Master Bus — Process the entire stem mix
  3. Single-Track Mastering — Right-click → Master Track with VST...

Single-Track Mastering

Opens a dedicated mastering dialog with:

Plugin GUIs are fully movable and resizable. Your favorite VST3 effects (EQ, Compressor, Limiter, etc.) work just like in your DAW.

VST3 plugin presets are now automatically saved and restored with stem projects. No need to manage presets manually.

7. Mix Recommender

The Mix Recommender finds tracks that work well together based on musical similarity.

Building the Mix Index

Go to Menu → Mix Index... to build the analysis index. Two modes:

Getting Suggestions

Right-click a track and select Mix Suggestions... to see the top 25 compatible tracks ranked by similarity score.

8. BPM Matching & Time-Stretching

In the Stems Editor, click BPM Match to time-stretch stems to a target BPM. Available engines:

EngineSpeedQuality
Librosa CPUFastGood
Precision StretchSlowExcellent
CUDA GPUVery FastGood

Stretched stems play in sync at the target BPM. Perfect for mashups and live mixing.

9. Track Analysis & Metrics

Each imported track is automatically analyzed. The following metrics are computed:

Rhythm & Tempo

MetricDescription
BPMDetected tempo in beats per minute
Avg. Beat LengthAverage time between beats. Lower = faster pulse
Max. Beat StrengthStrongest beat peak. Higher = clearer rhythmic punch
Onset DensityBeat events per second. Measures rhythmic activity

10. Export & Recording

Loop Export

Use the Export Loop button during playback or export from the Loop Browser. Output: 16-bit WAV.

Stem Export

Right-click a track with separated stems and select Export all active Stems + Mix to folder.... Exports each stem and the mixed result as WAV.

In the Stems Editor, use Export Stems (individual stems only) or Export Mix (final mix only). Both show a progress dialog. The unified render engine processes audio block-by-block for artifact-free results, using dedicated offline VST3 plugin instances.

Mastered Track Export

In the Track Master dialog, click Export after processing through your VST3 chain.

Live Recording

In the Stems Editor, arm the record button and press Record. Everything you hear (including EQ, effects, volume, mute/solo states) is captured as WAV in real-time.

Support Package

Menu → Export Support Package creates a ZIP with logs and metadata for troubleshooting. No personal data or audio files are included.

12. Licensing & Updates

Activation

Enter your purchase email and license key on first launch. The license is tied to your machine and allows up to 2 activations (e.g. desktop + laptop).

Updates

Track Management checks for updates automatically on startup (configurable). You can also check manually via Help → Check for Updates.

Updates are delivered as small delta packages (∼100 MB) instead of the full installer (∼2.7 GB). The update process:

  1. App notifies you of available update

15. Troubleshooting

Stem separation is slow

Stem separation runs on both GPU and CPU. With an NVIDIA GPU and CUDA, separation is fastest. On CPU it still works but is significantly slower. Make sure you have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed for best performance. AMD and Intel GPUs are not supported for CUDA acceleration.

VST3 plugin does not load

Make sure the plugin is a 64-bit VST3 format. 32-bit plugins and VST2 are not supported.

License activation fails

Check your internet connection. The activation server must be reachable. If the problem persists, contact [email protected].

Update fails

Close the application completely and restart. If the delta update fails, the updater will automatically fall back to the full installer.

Export Support Package

If you encounter any issue, go to Menu → Export Support Package and send the generated ZIP to support.
